Randy Boone has been playing
baseball since he was 4. He got inspired to play baseball by his grandfather.
Mr. Boone teaches at Hidden Valley. He has two sons, Hunter and Cody, and they
also play baseball. Mr. Boone got his teaching degree at Radford University. He
is always busy because he teaches during the day, then in the afternoon he
stays after and coaches. During his free time he works for a baseball factory,
goes fishing, and hunting, and does other athletic activities. He loves
watching his player’s progress.
Mr. Boone cares about his students,
and very professional about his job. He said “Coaching you have to let the kids
know you care about them before they play, and teaching the same thing you have
to let the kids know you care before they work real hard.” Mr. Boone is an
amazing mentor. He said, “My middle school and high school coach made me want
to help out kids like they helped me.” Mr. Boone said, “The best part about
best part about my baseball career is to see the kids go on and be good
people.”
Mr. Boone is an amazing teacher and
a caring coach. His work with students has made them progress as people and
players, and also made him progress as a teacher and coach. Randy Boone’s
dedication and personality made him a Hidden Hero!
